Ah yes, I stand corrected. I only looked at the total # of bids..As I read it, only five or so bidders.

I'd guess early 1950's from sweatband imprint (gold carriage) and plastic tip in liner. But style looking a bit backward from that.
Here is what it looked like after a little re-shaping from the original Harry Truman look:
Actual color chocolate brown. Per eBay records, went BIN on May 6...did anyone else see it and pass it up? I never saw it until Sunday night and pounced.
Actual brim is 2-1/2" (not 2.75 as per seller), 5-15/16" straight open crown, somewhat on light weight side at 4.5 ounces, absolutely beautiful finish and firm but not stiff hand. Might become my favorite.
