I was an underbidder on this rather special looking Portis, which, according to the seller, is marked "beaver." Did a lounger win it? Alan . . . Josh . . . ?

Not me. I REALLY wanted that one, but missed the auction all together. I hope the winner posts pics on the lounge if he is a member.

Can anyone tell me what would be a fair price for this Homburg (see link below)? The seller seems new to hats and does not seem to understand that a vintage Homburg is not going to get the kind of money a vintage fedora, i.e. Stetson or Borso, would get.

I keep looking at this:

The seller has just relisted it at the same price. But no one seems interested. Is that price just flat out over the top?

Thanks Zetwal! Here are two more that I won recently, I will try to post a pic of me wearing them:

How do I get a genuine 1920s cloche for 52 bucks? Were the hatmeisters asleep at the wheel when this was listed?

This was another one that I got for a reasonable price. It looks brand new in person:

Congratulations on your new finds. i do wish that more women wore hats. As good as hats look on men, they look better on women.

Excellent purchases all around. Women's hats are remarkable in their diversity and creativity. I find them fascinating. I look forward to more pictures as they are made ready.
