I saw that and wasn't interested due to the color. If that had been gray or black, I'd have probably been bidding on it. I intend to find a nice Homburg to wear with my black wool overcoat before cold weather hits.

Looking at eBay this past few days, there are many nice hats worth buying and the majority of them are within the size 7 to 7 1/4 for all of you that were those sizes. That leather hat was something made that makes you wonder why anyone would want to make it to begin with? All that leather gone to waste, could have been a nice belt or a pair of shoes....lol!

Yeah, that's definitely a reasonable price for that hat! Don't see any size info posted. Hopefully it will fit, but I'm sure you can get a lot more if you resell it with the correct size info.

No, I lost that one. I bid high on it, but at a certain point I was unwilling to pay more for such a novelty.

I private messaged the seller, asking for length and width of the head opening. He reported 8'' by 6.5'', which puts it in the ballpark of my head size. If not, I'll find out for myself and re-list it.

I'm hoping it's shrunk a bit. Either that, or that a couple of felt strips under the sweatband will make it fit. It's a 7 1/4, I wear a 7 1/8. Only one or two vintage Stetsons I've bought at 7 1/8 could I have used a size larger (the St. Regis Homburg is too small, I'll either try to stretch it or I'll sell it, no decision yet).

I probably should have let it pass, but I didn't have a green Stetson, and have wanted one.

Glad you got it. I intended to bid on it, but my wife had me fixing a broken frame and I plum forgot the auction was winding down. By the time I looked, it was over. But, I have three green Stetsons already, so I don't suppose I "really" needed it. I was interested in the "satin finish" of which I don't have an example.

You're on a roll guy If it fits and the sweat's good, spend a few $s on a nice tooled leather or braided horsehair band for that one ! I'd like to see it on your head when you get it. Now ya need some boots

Good job, Alex! I have a (non-Twenty) Custom Made and it has nice felt, so I'd bet on that Beaver Twenty has very nice felt.

Judging from the "lay of the land" (I don't know how to say this, I mean the smaller "sub-creases", the depressions in the felt near the "corners"), this might be a nice hat. Hopefully that, and the right size...
