Oh, I'm not saying that's exactly what it is, just what it looks like to me. I have seen some Cavanagh Edges with very weak profiles, but very few, comparatively.

Starting in June Ebay will start adding your shipping costs to the final auction price for your sold item and then calculating your seller's fees.

They claim they are doing this to try and stop people from adding a ton of extra $$ to the shipping and handling costs.

While I'd guess that this might tend to force people to start shipping things at exact shipping costs instead of trying to jack up their take by adding high shipping costs, what this will definitely do is jack up the money that ebay makes off sellers.... again.

I have to say, it is getting too expensive to sell things on ebay any more.

Well, I've seen Sellers deliberately under price an item (B.I.N.) and jack up the shipping price and openly explain it was to save on eBay fees. Not smart, and they were bound to catch on.

Similarly, I bought 4 pair of cheap reading glasses for a penny. Shipping from Hong Kong? $6.50. So in a way, I see their point and the action justified. Then again, when I spend a thousand dollars on a guitar, not thrilled that the Seller will then be charged a fee on the $50-$75 shipping too (the buyer ultimately pays these fees in higher prices, one way or another).

Capitalism is fine in concept, but its the worst when the capitalists just nickel and dime everyone constantly. Making money is one thing, being a gluttonous selfish human being is something else.

That sounds like human nature, not "capitalism." The fact is when "nickel and dimeing" begins, capitalists lose customers and competition begins. That is why it works. The fact is, in every walk of life, people take things too far and end up hurting themselves unless there is some force that pulls them back from the brink. The reason capitalism works better than every other system is that is is self correcting and usually in short order.

No system is self-correcting. Any time you involve humans into any equation, human nature will take over. Many concepts work in theory, but as soon as you add that human element, that concept changes and usually not for the better. Communism, "in theory" works great too, but as history has shown it doesn't work worth a damn. There isn't one person on this forum that will admit to be a communist, just as many wont admit to being a capitalist because a lot of the times there is a negative connotation that is usually associated with it. As shown in the United States with the housing and Mortgage industry, Capitalism worked alright, it brought down numerous markets. You had banks, lenders, brokers, etc, making money hand over fist because they were "Capitalists" and wanted to make as much money as humanly possibly. The system didn't correct itself, it took reformers and people who actually cared to step back and put limitations and guidelines to keep everyone 'honest". No system is perfect, but because its human nature to get the most out of any situation to benefit ourselves, without certain limits on things, everyone will ultimately just get screwed. Ebay is no exception. I have been on ebay for over 11 years and let me tell you, there are more fees and it costs more to sell on ebay than EVER before. The reason this is happening is because there is no real competition to ebay. They can change whatever they like and everyone just has to take it. If sellers don't like it, then obviously they don't have to use ebay, but then what? There isn't another auction site that has the kind of audience and influence as ebay does. There needs to be a big competitor, maybe then ebay will "check" themselves and realize that they treat their sellers like crap and charge way too much.
