Nah. Gotta say, this one leaves me cold. I'm really taken by the look of the 1930's C&Ks, but those newer ones...nah. Ain't mine. [huh]

I'm a little surprised that it went so high. Maybe the bidders (some anyway) bought the seller's assertion that it's from the 40s. In my opinion, there is no way that hat is earlier than the 60s.

Still, it's an unusual hat. We don't often see thin ribbons with such a narrow brim. Maybe that was the attraction.

That wind string button is what attracted me to it. I did not have a Knox, and I've seen a lot of Knox hats with their logo on the button. A really cool thing they had going there. I have seen a trolly button logo a few times, but usually on the Knox not so much on others.

Stetson Bantam...

Oops...I remembered it as a wind cord button feature -- but turns out that this lid has its own distinctive button treatment...

Holy smokes! The Stetson 25 I had listed just sold to a chap in England for $357.01. It was at $244 with less than a minute to go, too. I think I'll include something free. :)

How about a link to the auction so we can check out the hat and marvel at your good fortune? :D

Congratulations!

With this purchase today, I am now only two ads away from having all 14 of the Anderson Knapp-Felt ads from 1929-1930. I feel like a kid collecting baseball cards. lol
