I had a dark seafoamish green Oviatt's in that exact same style. It sold on Ebay a few years ago. I may still have pics of the hat somewhere.

There's certainly no denying that it's a Strat, and I'll say it's a late 50s model based on the liner and its plastic covering. The ribbon and the binding, though, sure are different from other Strats. Maybe someone got tired of the thin ribbon look and had it re-trimmed with a mid-ribbon and wider binding.

Another Fleabag

Well folks,
Here is another one of my ebay screw overs.
This lady told me she forgot to ship me the hat 2 times, in between her forgetfulness her excuses for not sending me the hat were illness in the family.
Needless to say she put off shipping me the hat until a case could not be filled for non ship. She stopped responding to my emails and still has my money.

Ebay Snarkiness

Seems like ebay sellers are getting a bit snarky these days. I was trying to get some basic info on a hat from a seller named "misspaula2003" and after a few emails, she (he?) told me I was being a pest and blocked any further emails. When sellers get cagey like this, I just have to question their honesty. The seller does have good feedback though, so maybe it's just me.

Of getahaton.com ? Great guy, but hasn't posted for over a year. There is a liquidator on th' bay that carries some nice starter Scalas & Stacy Adams fur felts f/ great prices along w/ the poly thin brims the skate pukes wear & just about everything in between.

Anyway he has a couple of "Aaron Hats" brand hats. I don't think I ever knew, all this time, that Aaron hats had its (his?) own line. Does anyone remember him mentioning this? Or have I been gobsmacked one too many times?


UPDATE: 9:13 P.M. -

I snagged this 'un at the BIN, ( name: The Howard ) couldn't resist, curiosity & the cat, ya' know, lol. He said he only had three... being sized s/m/l I dunno really what to expect. But ya'll know I am a sucker f/ the thin ribbons. Stay tuned.
