That so-called Johnny Depp thing has been on eBay for quite a while. They asked me to make an offer and I told them I wouldn't offer them $300, much less 3 Grand.
It looks late 50's to early 60's from what you've shown. It would get more money if it was a bit larger, unless you find someone who fits it. Ought to get between $500 to $800 or so, depending on how bad someone wants it. I wouldn't want to sell it for less than $600 or so, if it was mine. You'd get more bidders if you had it labelled properly as a One Hundred. I imagine it did originally come in a hat case, but not certain. Just speculating, but as late as this hat is, you might have the original box it came in, and Stetson may have quit putting them in hat cases.Hello all.
NOOB to the forum, and wanted to get information from y'alls expertise.
I have listed my recently deceased Father-in-law's hat collection, (he was a rancher & rodeo clown in the 70's)
One of the items listed (before I realized what I had) is a Stetson One Hundred in size 7 with the original box.
After reading some of the comments here, apparently the really vintage One Hundreds had a suitcase hatbox & different label...mine has a round hatbox with a leather strap on it.
Can anybody tell me if this is as rare as I think it may be?
Vintage year? (the initials are from my wife's Great Uncle...so guessing 1950's?)
It's currently listed on EBay . My username is kmango if you want to look at the other pictures. View attachment 487502 View attachment 487503 View attachment 487504 View attachment 487505 **ESTATE SALE - STETSON Cowboy hat - Size 7 In ORIGINAL BOX"

Heck, that's my size! Might have to make a run at it! I was trying to see a photo of the size tag, but you didn't show it in any of the photos. That extra 1/4 in hat size guarantees you will get over $600 for it.Thanks.
Believe it or not, I had to delete the bid.
You're reply made me double check, and low & behold...it's actually size 7 1/4...not size 7
It's relisted as this...

Thanks @MikeinRome for helping out...(I'm kind of a Red Forman-type 'dumbass" at times)Heck, that's my size! Might have to make a run at it! I was trying to see a photo of the size tag, but you didn't show it in any of the photos.
That size tag makes it a 1960's hat. These later hats aren't sought after as much as earlier hats, so that might hold the sale price down, but who knows? Thanks @MikeinRome for helping out...(I'm kind of a Red Forman-type 'dumbass" at times)
The tag was tucked, and I did a double check.
(photos of size tag are in revised listing)
Sorry for the confusion @AbbaDatDeHatDid you pull the ebay sale or was it sold??
I'll be looking at any bids this evening when I get home from work @Snowman.Welp, I had a bid, but no one hundred for me.
Beautiful! I was tempted, but I also already have two, and I was bidding for a BOP.https://www.ebay.com/itm/2955169720...can0sdqtpg&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
$450 is pricey for me, but you know how big of sucker I am for dove gray!
My 3rd Flagship, however, this one is the right color and near mint, or close enough I should say!
I put in a $400 offer but knew someone else would snatch up this rare mid 40s beauty so couldn’t stand waiting any longer went ahead and punched the BIN.
Please somebody, tell me me I did the right thing!
I’ve seen these go higher and not be as interesting a color, so maybe I shouldn’t fret too much.
“Flagship Bowler” Never seen one of those….
