The proportions are definitely a bit different from what I am used to seeing. I am quite excited for it.. especially when the seller accepted my offer

I did. That color piqued my interest. I'd been considering getting a few lids in very gaudy colors, so when I saw this I just felt it was time. I'd like to find a yellow and red fedora, too. I've considered converting some cowboy hats in those colors because sometimes you can find a good bright yellow and red in cowboy hats -- though rarely in a fedora.

Some years ago, when @moontheloon sold his collection, I missed out on a beautiful Cavanagh because Scotty beat me to it.
After some time I asked him if he would be willing to sell it, to which he replied, if memory serves, "when hell freezes over".
I was prepared to make a generous offer, but after such a conclusive reply, I abstained.
I just bought what I believe to be the same model and color on eBay, for 40 dollars.
It is a more recent hat, but I am still thrilled.
The first picture is Anthony's, the rest of are eBay's.

Love the setup. Neat vtg colors. Nice recognizable brand and style. Glad you got what you hoped for for so long. As I sit here in my long, cashmere blend winter coat, booted and hatted in western fashion, I wish I was wearing my old, cobalt blue Royal Stetson. I gifted it to a young man who was a good friend to the family. If anyone notices a pattern in my posts, it is because I sold and got rid of all of my vintage hats. I'm in a new chapter I suppose but still love to see all this hat and hat era discussion. If I become the owner of any more vtg hats, I know where to come.
