Looking for information on this latest purchase. Forgive the postings in multiple threads:

I’m thinking it is a Canadian Stetson from the 1960s. Thanks in advance for help with the identification.

Yep it is Canadian. The gold size tag is the indication. I have a Stetson with the gold size tag and fellow Lounger Richard Morgan informed me on its Canadian origins. That is a very nice hat.

Richard did mention he thought that Biltmore may have had the contract to produce the Canadian Stetsons. Looks like he was right on that as well.

Yep. Still circumstantial but it’s looking like a Biltmore. The knowledge in the folks here is pretty incredible.

Richard did mention he thought that Biltmore may have had the contract to produce the Canadian Stetsons. Looks like he was right on that as well.

Wolthausen had the contract 1935-71, so the hat is a post 1971 Biltmore.

Looks like a Whippet, but no Whippet markings. Says US 7 3/8, measurement tool shows US 7 1/4. Made for the Japanese market is very interesting.

If they'd move that decimal place to the left...maybe. But hey, free shipping.

This place is amazing. With a heads up from @Frunobulax I snagged a BIN Stetson Royal Delux back bow. We are the same size, so this was quite a gallant move. Enabling, but gallant.

Just snagged my first Bowler. I never thought I'd buy one, but here we are...

Also picked up my first Cavanagh. It's also my 3rd Homburg, which is something I never thought I'd do either. The brim is wide enough if I don't like it as a Hommie it might just become my first Cav fedora.... we'll see.
