Cool that makes it sound pretty easy. It's black. I've never had a hat with a trolley before. This is my first adventure down that road just as it's my first Homburg
a black trolley shouldn't be difficult to come by
... and all you need to do is thread it through the hat under the bow and wrap it around the crown ... very simple
You will have no trouble at all

Unfortunately most of the photos are gone but this thread is good

I picked this one up for $41 off the bay this morning. Nice little brown hat - Aristocrat - I know absolutely nothing about, hehehe...

I took the same chance when I bought my Pimbell for 24 dollars...couldn't be more pleased with the hat as it's most likely a Cavanagh. I wish you the sane good luck.
Thanks, guys. I hope the chance pays off, too. I have hats with tall crowns, but I like the shorter crowns as well so I thought this would fit into my little hat "wardrobe" nicely.

Looks FANTASTIC, Doug. I think the boys are right, a top shelf lid that was private-labeled. I got a great Cavanagh like that a few years ago.

But I only hope you're not the butt of jokes...

It looks to me as if someone either added a Whippet liner at some point, or cut the brim way back and put on a more narrow brim binding.... but the crown looks completely off to me as well. Nothing Whippet-esque about this one at all that I can see.
