As far as ebay goes, it sure would be nice if we knew each other's user names so we don't bid against our friends!
If I know , I'm out . If I don't , it's game on . But I just need to know .
Depends on the hat.

Good point but if I contacted Michael to ask, as were the same size and it was a nice one he didn't know about, I've just invited another bidder in. Just because I like him doesn't mean I trust him.

You really can trust me . I'm not a hood . You can tip me off to a good one too . Just say "I'm after this one ." So I'll know . Even if I've gotten in , I'll back off . I figure you'll help a bro out some day .
Actually, it's a field you can fill out in your profile.
You can click on the bid history and it shows the bids, but hides part of the name. So I'm something like douagder2010 and it would list my bids something like do****10
So far, so good. I'm not bidding against you currently, LOL.
Alls far in love and war...(ebay bidding...is "watch out, coming through with a hot load) haha When I really want a hat on eBay or more high end shoes or anything...I bid NOSE bleed high....1,000.00 or more and let the games begin! If I know someone is looking for a particular hat I may let them know I am already bidding and if they are a long time lounger, I will let them have the sale....but there have been a few times when you just never know....I am aware of some lounger's feedback numbers so that at times will tell me if one of you is on a bid already...but that is for size 10 1/2 to 11 vintage shoes and 7 1/2 or 7 5/8 hats and if the hat is not super nice and clean, I don't put it on the watch list nor bid. Yes I know...fussy...but all our hats are super nice and that is how we like them here.Depends on the hat.

Now you know at times hat sizes are a "ball park" good guess...at times some hats will be spot on...other times..you can tell that "Dennis the Menace " washed and dried them to shrink up or something like that....it is vital to have a seller measure that hat front to back and side to side before....way before you bid..,.ask how many moth holes do not show up in the pictures? Ask how many stains...what is under the ribbon and bow???? The more information the less later down the road problems...nip them all in the bud before you put out your hard earned dollar....and even have a alternate plan...if the hat does not fit or you just do not like it...who may want to own it here on the lounge?Sounds like we're about the same size, 7-3/8 LO. I can make a 7-3/8 R work in something like a Stetson fedora, but a 7-1/2 fits better. A Justin 4X western hat was way too big at 7-1/2 but my Akubra Coober Pedy was tight at 60cm (7-1/2).
