You can't view the links I posted? I think they lasted into the 1960s. There are some people on here with Willard Hat Company hats. To me they look very similar to Adam Hats (also out of Dallas from the mid 50s) so a good mid range price point hat. There also appears to be discoloration of the felt from the sweatband. It's a nice hat!

Can someone help me date this panama hat? I feel like I've seen the center logo on Stetsons from the 40s, but I know that a black sweatband usually means post 1950s. Any info would be helpful!

There's also the key hole shaped size tag. Late 1950s to very early 1960s? It should be a pretty easy estimate for someone who knows more about dating Stetsons.

I'll chalk this up as an eBay victory. A Royal Deluxe Stetson. I got a good deal on it, given the shape it was in. It needed a good soap and water bath. But a while later, she started looking like a keeper.

I'd love input on exactly what it might be. There's no label in the sweat, but I bought it thinking "Open Road." But it might be more in the Stratoliner vein. The brim is 2 1/2". The crown is 5.5" at open crown. And there's serious curl on the brim. And as you'll see in the last photo, it's an overall smaller hat than my 80's Open Road.

The eBay shot...

I coaxed her into an open crown...

No label other than this.

The obligatory "deer in the headlights" shot. LOTS of snap on the brim.

I never thought a 2 1/2" brim would feel so stingy.

Java, looks great whatever it is. I see what you mean about stingy. Kind of come to expect that 2 7/8 brim on a silverbelly hat like that. Think of it as a De Luxe Stratoliner with a wind cord.
