I watched that one with GREAT interest. You were lucky it was a 7-3/8. ;)

Congratulations. I hope it gets a lot more wear.

A 7 3/4 Stetson Key Club for $20.50. I've never seen one of these before. It's like a full-brimmed Stetson Charger, those braided velour stingies from the 70's, the ones that are mistakenly advertised as a Stetson Sovereign because that's what the sweatband says on it. I had one once.

Thanks guys, now comes the wait. This is the part I dread. Did I buy well or did I pour a bunch of money down a rat hole? You know the only real cinch there is in life is the one that goes around the horse's belly, everything else is a gamble.

Here's the best $25 I've ever spent

I finally won a Cavanagh! Strangely enough nobody bid against me. I was glad to see it is in brand new condition. As far as dating goes I'm curious as it has a black sweatband and does not say cavanagh edge on the band though it clearly does. Of the half doze vintage I own currently nothing has as soft a felt. Stupidly I got caught in the rain today (I always wear Akubra if rain threatens) and it came through with not a mark.

Sorry for the huge pix. Inside the sweat a tag reads color mink, style name Carlton House.

Mid-Sixties or later. Are my eyes deceiving me, or is there a plastic cover on that liner tip? If so, it's the first Cavanagh I've ever seen with one. Don't know why it doesn't say Cavanagh Edge. Interesting. Good deal at $25.

Anyone here a lucky winner of this punti size 6.5 Borsalino Trionfo for $140.50 shipped? Very nice hat. Basically a large 7 3/8 or small 7 1/2.

I was interested because among other things it came from the same shop address as a Borsalino hood I bought to have blocked - Largo Chigi 7. That is in the same Roman street as the Italian PM's address which is the Chigi Palace. Originally the familigia Chigi was one of the aristocratic Roman families with their very own palazzo.

What does everyone think of the quality and price? I did not think it was so bad. There were a couple of individuals chasing it who boosted it along. But USD140 is like 220AUD for us paupers...

A nice light brown 2" brim 7 3/4 Dobbs sold by rilico for $75.15 shipped. Seems like a later production. I'd normally jump all over an auction like this, but I'm saving up for my Art Fawcett lightweight for the summer.

I received this Disney today. I think it's now my favorite hat.

I can see why it would be! I'm on a constant search for a Disney in my 61cm size, but I've had absolutely no luck at all. By the way, the "Gotham" model name rules.
