Let's not start this in this thread as well guys come on.
How is the quality of these hats anyways? And Stratton as well didn't know about them and im curious before I purchase oneI just saw this and bought it...

I got the only size 8 that he had, but there are still others in different sizes, in case anyone is looking for something like this!
After checking the Stratton site and several other eBay listings, it looks like most of these hats are sold unlined and without the leather straps. This one IS nicely lined and comes with both types of straps! It also comes with the original box. Buy It Now for $29.99 - not bad for a brand new felt hat of this quality!
For ultra heavy duty use they're great for the price. Extremely thick, extremely stiff, very durable. A bit helmet-like. Not the most comfortable unless you are the exact oval the hat is made for.
That's a funny quote from the seller. He tried to low-ball me on a fedora acting as if he was doing me a favor. This guy stated because of the size (7) he'd have to stretch it.
I declined the generous offer and told him I'd rather not sell the fedora than to see it stretched.

Ah, his rant makes sense now..He has been banned here about 3 times.
Where would you say it fits into that spectrum? 30s/40s?
