I made an offer on this hat a few days and the seller accepted it. It looks to be quite old, possibly from the 19-teens or early 20's, NOT the 40's or 50's as the seller described. There's a couple nibbles, but with a good steaming and brushing, it should come out quite nice. I love the high flange all around the brim. This hat is most definitely made to be worn as an up-brim.

Excellent... sharp eyes there, Josh. What a find. The MD abbreviation for Maryland seems unusual, but it certainly looks to be an early hat in great shape.

Brown Fedora 7 1/2

I feel like I got a pretty good deal on this one, considering the size, and the fact that my snipe was actually for twice as much as I paid.

I'm no expert, but I'm guessing this hat will be from the mid fifties to early sixties.

512 East Baltimore St. is actually just a block east of the famous "Block". There is a Police station there today. I am sure the E.W Hat Shop is listed in some of the old city directories.

Some where between 9th and Main.
I just purchased for the first time a "Royal De Luxe Stetson" brand fedora from eBay. Now I wasn't all to happy with my last Stetson purchase as it came to me in a reck but after I saw this one I simply had to have it. Sadly there wasnt a beautiful box to go with it(the usps would have destroyed it in transit anyways) but the crown looked so sharp I couldn't take my eyes off of it and didn't want to touch it! For $71.07 it was a deal for me!

I needed to steam it of course as the brim was a little "stiff" but after a light steaming it snapped directly into place. Super happy to wear it tomorrow!!!!!
