Pulled the trigger on one of these before lunch and it should be here tomorrow. I was after something warm, but with less weight than the Irvin. I can see it getting much more wear than the Irvin, which I found too heavy for our climate, even in the snows earlier in the year. Great in a vehicle, but not so good for walking in. I'll post up my thoughts on the B-15 once it's arrived and I've worn it for a while :)

Well, you do have to remember the Irvin was designed for sitting on yer bum most of the time it was in use, albeit at a much higher altitude than ground level.... ;) Look forward to hearing about the Eastman. I quite fancy one of their B15s myself; recently picked up an Alpha Replica Series B15-C, and loving it as a change from leather.

Well, bit of a muck up on the Eastman front. I checked they had my size and ordered just after 11am yesterday morning by phone and was told it would be sent out that day. After waiting in all day today, nothing showed up. I emailed Eastman at about 3:30pm to ask if it had even been sent, but have yet to receive a reply. Not very amused, especially considering I asked quite deliberately if it would be out for delivery today. Basically, I sat in the house from 8:30am until I took my daughter to guides at 6:45pm. Somebody dropped the ball

That may not be Eastman's fault, did they send you a tracking number or anything?

I'm interested in this, I was going to order the same jacket today, but it would be good to see your pics before! What size did you go for?

Likely not Eastman's fault. If they're using a private courier, they can be a law unto themselves.... Wouldn't be the first time if I sat in waiting for a delivery between 8am and 6pm, which arrived at 6.45pm.....

The jacket arrived at about 8am thursday morning. It hadn't been sent until wednesday despite me being told it would be out on tuesday, but I can forgive them that. Most definitely worth the wait, this jacket is superb! The material is absolutely fantastic, the logos are very nice, the mouton and alpaca are lovely. Pockets are lined correctly. Zip fastens on the US side, which confuses the heck out of us limeys :) I measure 46 exactly and the jacket fits with a little to spare. A 48 would have been huge on me. The arms are plenty long enough to allow for lifting the arms without the cuff riding up the wrist, there is enough in the back to not be tight if I reach, and the length is good on my 6ft 2in frame. I have not had time to take any photos today, but I will see if I can get some sorted in the morning. If anyone would like some of any particular details, please let me know.

Sounds great! I'd be interested in seeing any pictures at all!

Its the sizing that is foxing me at the moment, I sit between a 40 and 42, but closer to 40, and I'm not sure which way to go, sounds like it should be 40. I don't want something that looks like a duvet on me, but equally I don't want anything that is going to be really tight... Hmmm! Sounds like the body and arm length is good, I really don't like jackets that ride up massively in the body and have arms that end up by your elbows!

Pics would be great, think I'll go with a 40 and see...

Call Eastman and ask... My Alpha Replica is a 44; if I'd planned it for warmer wear, I could have gotten away with a 42, but the 44 allows room for a sweater underneath, which I wanted, it being intended as a Winter jacket for me.
