Eastman Roughwear 1401 A-2 jacket

Hello gents,

Testing the waters (before Ebay). I need to fund another purchase and the only way to proceed is to let this stunner go. Its in better than perfect condition, even prompting Gary Eastman himself to take a pic of it when I visited them at the pop up store in London recently.
He said it looked just like an original. High praises!

I am not worried, because now I have my perfect A-2 fit and can get another one again later.

Size 40 - 1 inch added to sleeves
I am 5'10, weigh 72 kgs, normal physique

ARMPIT TO ARMPIT: 21,5” front and 22,5” back
BACK LENGTH FROM NAPE OF NECK SEAM TO BOTTOM OF WAISTBAND: 24”+
SLEEVE LENGTH FROM SHOULDER SEAM TO END OF CUFF: 26”
Zipper: 21.25”

Beautiful jacket, Brettafett… the collar lays just perfect!

I have that exact Eastman RW 42-1401-P jacket, but I can’t seem to get the collar to lay as nice. My collar wrinkles, turns up, and pulls away from the jacket. And I've been breaking it in for over a month.

Did you apply a Hot Water Treatment and/or steam, and pin it down while wet?

Anyone with some other suggestions?

Hot water bath....pin the collar it the studs during drying, make the collar "stand up" during drying, put some tissues inbetween to stabilize the stand-up.

Well I want an M442a and simply do not have the cash to get one. In the UK, its getting colder, so an M422a would be practical. The RW is not getting much me-time in the colder weather... And now that I know my exact measurements and fit, I can get another RW later again. I tried on an M442a at the ELC pop up and man, was sold on the spot. What a comfy and cool jacket. Now its all I can think of.
I know...
Gentle hot water the collar, shape and leave overnight, keeping it flat.
