Eastman (ELMC) Californian versus Good Wear Californian Ventura

I like the ELC Californian (haven't seen a Good Wear) however I wouldn't spend that amount personally for a new ELC; their ELMC prices are too rich for my blood but the range is apparently selling very well.

Beyond me too, but from what I see they're pitched about right to be taken seriously on the Japanese market, which seems to have a much higher 'median price' point than here in the West.
