Hey John,

The real mccoys looks nice. Do you know where i can see more photos of this jacket?
:)

Here is a good link for the Real Mc Coys and or The Few, scroll down the page for the B3 jackets:

http://www.c-king.jp/fewhome/fewhome.html

Most of their jackets are vegetable tanned not chrome tanned like Lost Worlds.
For me both of them are way ahead of Eastman.
Nevertheless whatever you choose please keep us on the loop.
Good luck!

It's here and well worth the short wait of about a week.
Eastman do everything well. The jacket arrived beautifully bagged, boxed and wrapped by courier.
I am a smallish size 44 and this jacket is quite a trim fit just over a T shirt, so that could be a consideration for others when ordering. The first thing that struck me was the very warm almost golden yellow of the wool. This pleased me as I dislike very white wool. The cuffs are just right. I have to push my hands through them so they give a snug very authentic fit and feel to the arms, which are not overly long. The jacket is also quite short and boxey. They have nailed the look and style perfectly.
The broken finish is rugged and slightly textured to the touch. There is absolutely no gloss just a very slight sheen. The leather parts are a beautiful brown colour. I wouldn't call it Seal, as this can so often look black and quite unattractive. This colour is much better and compliments the acrylic coating perfectly.
The belts seem to very similar to FQHH, they have a waxy translucence that is very vintage looking. Snaps and buckles are blackened or dulled to continue the vintage theme. I have just noticed that the zip components look like they are cast, not stamped. If so, then that's real attention to detail.
Dimensions -
Pit 24 [just]
Back 26
Shoulder to cuff 24
The Crown zip is a new one for me. I would say that it's better than the often cheaper looking Talons around. Though Eastman's version has always been one of the best. The action is quite dry/rasping at the moment as it's new so only time will tell.

I am absolutely delighted with it.
The finish is applied by hand at the factory where the jackets are made.
Very Nice Jacket,I used to own one of these just like it, but I grew an inch out of it and Had to sell it but I miss it.

thank you for your reply!

I now finaly found a few photos of this *real* mccoy, and this is just the one i want to order and this is the one from HBO tv s Band of Brothers :)
Its in this tv series i first saw it, and this is the jacket that got me hooked :)

http://www.j-e-a-n-s.net/overseas/00926.html

more photos (dont ask me how i found them...these are from some japanes website)

http://en.item.rakuten.com/three-eight/rmc-mj7111-050/

So if i get this right, the color on this is a seal brown,
the leathers finish Is the 'Vegetable tan finish Horsehide Arinin'.
Am I right??
And this is indeed the duotone version?
So the monotone is is all the same brown or black w/e.

I just want to be sure, before i order :p

When i look at the photo of their B3's on their homepage(under - jacket, flying, winter B3's), the one in the front is not as dark brown(seal brown). thats a russet brown, right? Thats not what i want.

Hope im not the only one that gets confused by their homepage.
I tried to reply yesterday, but think my post got deleted or some error.

pleas tell me what you think of the jacket, if u like :) And if im correct with the details.

Now i just hope this one doesn't cost /280000 JY / $3388
If so, its the X2 the price as the B3's on their homepage

Hi John,
I have been lurking in this forum for a year now and I really enjoy your jacket reveals, knowledge and experience of wartime sheepskin jackets. I have a few questions if you don't mind. I just order an ELC Roughwear B3 in a 44 reg. THis was the size that ELC recommended for me based on my measurements (chest 42 and a bit, pant size 36, Height 5'6.5" - I'm a short chubby asian:) ). Is your broken finish B3 44 REG stock sizing
(Dimensions -
Pit 24 [just]
Back 26
Shoulder to cuff 24)
or did you make custom size changes . I want to get an idea how this jacket would fit on me. I currently own a Cockpit USA Hooded Sheepskin Jacket B3 type in 44 REG. It's dimensions are Back 26, Shoulder to cuff (assuming shoulder seem to edge of fleece cuff) 25, Pit to pit outside 26 - This jacket fits baggy on me (Wife and kids call me a "brown Marshmallow" whenever I wear it). I can wear a thick wool sweater with ease with this jacket on. I'm hoping the new ELC would fit a bit more snug and less baggy. Base on your dimensions of your B3, it would seem to be a better fit.

Thanks for your time :)
