Eastman A-2 44 L

2018 Eastman Leather Type A-2 Flight Jacket Reproduction.

Purchased last year, only just beginning it’s long life! Made in a size 44 with added body and sleeve length - still cut to a WW2 style though, so short by modern standards.

Superb condition. Knits and lining in fantastic shape. Leather is just incredible with so much character.

This is Eastman’s own “house” style A-2.

- Seal Brown warhorse Leather - unbelievable character and grain. Looks like an original WW2 jacket!

- Correct Wool knits in mid brown colour

- correct cotton lining in dull brown

Measurements:

27.25 inch back length

19.5 inch shoulders

23.5 pit to pit

26.5 inch sleeves (following curve of sleeve from shoulder to cuff

20 inches waist (leather above knits)

Wow! This is marvelous and looks like the length would be ideal for me! I’m 6’4” and it’s impossible to find an Eastman a2 that fits my frame. However, I’m 185lbs and usually fit rather well in a size 40L suit and (most times) 42L or XL Eastman. Is the house cut a trimmer cut or is it somewhat baggy? I don’t want anything that looks like untidy and want that military cut.

Eastman's house A-2 usually fits comfortable by all meanings, for more trim-fitted A-2s from Eastman you might look at their Monarch and Star Sportswear repros.

I had an Eastman M-422A in 42L and it fit, but was a little on the snug side. This seems like it’s comparable measurements, but thinking it might be a little blousy around the waistline?
