Easter Cocktails 2011

Rude Once Too Often
A Couple of Chumrades just gave me a copy of 'The Silver Book Of Cocktails' a weighty tome, I came across these Holiday Concoctions

Easter Egg #1

1 oz (30ml) Chambord Raspberry Liquor
1 oz (30ml Tia Maria
1 oz (30ml) Heavy Creme

Layered in a Cocktail glass

Easter Egg # 2

1oz (30ml) Cognac
1 oz (30ml) Cointreau
1 oz (30ml) White Creme de Cacao
1 oz (30ml Heavy Cream
1 Teaspoon of Egg Yolk

Shaken well with ice

Easter Bonnett

It says to use a Hurricane glass whatever that is?, I would use a small shaker I think

2 oz (60ml) Vodka
1 1/2 Oz (45ml Apricot Brandy
1/2 oz (15ml) Lime juice
Dry Champagne to top up the shaker

I find these to be the most disgusting sweet available - like a goopy bag of sugar.

I'm not an expert at cocktail making but I imagine we'll have a few Bellinis over the weekend.....

Agreed. Those easter cocktails seemed teeth jarringly sweet to me.

Is there such a thing as an Easter martini? I'll be having a few of them & I'll probably be seeing rabbits, 6 foot tall ones named Harvey.
