Seeing as its easter and all, got me wondering, do they do much with rabbit skin theses days? I know the Aussie Akubra hats were/are? Made of rabbit pelt...do they do jackets or anything like that?

That.....thats frightening......it reminds me of so ething out of a Goodies episode, with man eating rabbits....you could make a size 50 b3 out of one of them...and have some left for slippers and feed a smallish village rabbit stew for a winter.......Elmer Fudd better go semi automatic.....

Here is another idea for a jacket made from a jackalope. I'm told these skins are tanned in Austin, Texas, and develop great patina. :D lol

Some nice Easter bunny themes to play on here.
A regular on the menu here, my mum used to serve up rabbit stew when I was a kid in the 1960s, the local butcher would have lots of gutted bunnies hanging in his shop all ready for the pot, some still wearing their fur jackets. If that was re-introduced to the big supermarkets it would probably have the same effect as the horse meat scandal. Well, almost:p
They got their revenge though
Night of the Lepus. A great campy horror flick about giant killer bunnies.
Ken Calder tried to sell me an original A2 in a very small size that had been lined with what appeared to be a ladies rabbit fur jacket turned inside out.(Falcon Road days)
Fatal Attraction. The film that coined the term 'Bunny Boiler'. Applied to a woman bent on revenge against her man and his mistress.
I didnt want to mention Harvey as I have never seen it all the way through. Couldn't stand it
Any more?

"Harvey" was not my favorite movie either. Perhaps Jimmy Stewart's greatest role was "It's a Wonderful Life" or maybe "Rear Window" directed by Alfred Hitchcock. I met Jimmy Stewart briefly in 1973 or 1974 and told him that IMO the most impressive thing about him was his service as a general in the USAF Reserve. His face lit up like a Christmas tree and said that it was his proudest achievement. :)

Ah, yes, the state animal of New Mexico (if you go by the postcards sold in the shops)! I'd far rather see those than crawfish or alligators!

I've never trusted the standard portrayal of those beasts as gentle. I figure, you've got what amounts to a switchblade on your forehead, you're gonna want to use it!
