You might be right. Anyway, I am a big fan of vintage Horror and Sci-fi. I believe this is a pic of Lon Chaney Sr., wearing one of these caps in an old silent film.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the hat, Brian. FWIW, as I recall, I purchased it about 1978-9 while I was teaching school in Hooper Bay, Alaska.
