I have a early Dobbs size 71/8 – 71/4 for sale exclusively to lounge members. I consider this Dobbs to be a very clean example. The felt is soft much like a 50s Borsalino I have. The felt and interior is clean and with out damage of moth nibbles. The leather sweat is supple not dry and has the early tape joint. I am selling due to size. I am 22-3/4 long oval and this top sits higher on my than I like to wear my hats. The interior is 8” by 6-3/16 When I put the Dobbs on the hat stretcher picture and adjust the stretcher to lightly snug the stretcher measures 22 –1/2 with seems about right when compared to how the hat fits on my head. I have done some light non-stressing stretching but the hat moved back to its present size. I have not stretched the hat in months so I am sure the hat is sable at my listed size.
