I don't know how you feel about Paul Frederick, but they have a range of seersucker - double-breasted jackets, 2-button single-breasted jackets, 6-button vests, pleated pants. I have no experience with their seersucker, but have about a 50% success rate with their suits (kept 3 suits, having bought 6 or 7). Maybe not practical if you include shipping to UK (is that where you are, BTW? Your profile location is enigmatic).

I live in the Great White North, aka Canada. The warmest part of Canada, for what it's worth lol Shipping from USA is no worry at all. I shall check the link.

edit: Checked the link. That's extremely similar to the suit I saw on Gentlemen's emporium. It even has a vest with lapels, which I really like. In a perfect world, I'd rather have a classic linen suit with some nice wide lapels and some vintage details like belted back and patch pockets, but given my finances and such right now, this might be the best available option. Thanks so much for sharing! :D

I wear a polo or camp shirt with chinos, casually, but I may be looking into getting a linen suit soon. Which wrinkles less, cotton or linen?

Gentleman,

Thank you so very much for your input! I'll see about picking up some tropic weight trousers. My dress shirts are all 95% cotton 5% spandex, and are fairly cool. I also have a few casual short sleeve button downs that are cotton/linen blend, but they don't seem to be as cool. I'll keep an eye out for some seersucker shirts.

I despise sandals. I don't even wear them at the beach. I have some saddle shoes that I like quite a bit and plan to soon pick up a pair of Allen Edmonds Wilberts if I can make up my mind as to which limb I'm going to sacrifice for them.

Mr. Badger, thank you for that fine suggestion regarding the hats. I have a Montecristi in transit to me from Ecuador and I'd hate to soil the ribbon on it.

Holding fabric up to a light source to see how open its weave will give you an idea of its breathability.

I wear these wool trousers in the warmest of weather:

I have two pair of Hollywoods in a translucent up to the ligth material.
Mohair is it? They are real nice in the warm weather. wear those with braided cognac leather shoes.

No worries - the only issue with PF is an inconsistent waist height. Some of their suits have nice high waists, around the navel, some are pretty low-rise. Trying on is the only way to be sure, of course - good luck.
