Dr. Michael Savage

What a tempest in a teapot! This one likes this guy and that one likes this guy. Who cares? Let them listen to who they want and be done with it. There is a knob on the radio that you can turn and in many cases there are buttons---push or turn is my advice to you who don't want to listen. I myself do not like to listen to music in the car or at work. In fact I listen to music seldomly. Therefore radio is a medium of entertainment for me. If the guy makes a buck entertaining me then great. The airways are open to whoever wants to put on a program and try to get ratings. Talk radio is great because you get music the news and entertainment at the same time. It is like TV without the video---like radio used to be in the golden age---the serials are just about what the topics of the day are.
If you have to ask why you already just do not understand and never will. No further breath needs wasting.

Regards to all,

J

Bebop - you should try listening to Dennis Praeger.
When I lived in So. Ca. I did listen to Dennis Prager. He was much more level headed and reasonable. He made alot of sense and made you think without over emoting. Unfortunatly, I can't get him here in S.F.

Just for the record...

I don't like Dr Michael Savage! I could'nt care less who takes exception to it! Threads like this are becoming more and more prevelant. Like I said in another post; I'd prefer that "Right" and "Left" only be references to shirt sleeve or pant leg here at Fedora Lounge. and yes I don't have to click the mouse button that found my way to this thread!
The false paradigm of the so-called "Left" and the so-called "Right" remain strongly opposed to one another. Meanwhile global corporate entities continue to gain more and more control over the world. Perhaps MK will consider adding a new room called the "back alley" where those with strong opinions left, right and otherwise, who would rather not discuss vintage hats clothing and culture, can slug it out.

Why would you want to keep anyone from voicing their opinion, left, right or center? You don't like Michael Savage, you told us and no harm done. You want to do vintage, do vintage. I'll meet you there. What does "global corporate entities gaining more control over the world" have to do with ones opinions on Michael Savage? If there was a room called "the back alley", what would keep you from complaining there? I don't think anyone wants to "slug it out" over any topic here. These are just simple opinions.: cheers1:

But with an Ipod....

You're playing the same songs that you programmed into the player. I've heard Stern use more derogatory terms that start with f,n,g or r in regards to the human condition than any of the talk hosts on both sides of the view. Why would someone go to see CarrotTop? Jackie Mason? Don Rickles? To be entertained. You may not like what they have to say or maybe you do agree with them, but they're funny. Same goes with talk radio. People want to be entertained. If someone wants to hear a radio talk host politely agree and disagree with callers he can always turn on PBS radio.:cheers1:

BEBOP..do some research beyond what the general media has to offer! My statement is not a complaint. In fact I don't believe I've ever complained once in FL. That being said, I've had the Michael Savage thing tossed at me in here...Perhaps it's just a knee jerk reaction of mine! I'll own it!
I didn't really, seriously suggest back alley.:cheers1:
