I just posted about this jacket in Outerwears and after doing the measurements have concluded that it will not work for me. It’s labeled size 40 but the measurements indicate it’s a slim 38. I am typically 40 in leather jackets and this is unquestionably at least 1 size too small.

It’s basically a Buco J-24 repro pattern. Gorgeous Japanese horsehide. Excellent condition with some teacore at the high wear areas.

$675 shipped CONUS.

Back length: 24”

Of course fit is a personal taste. If it were me I would wear it open most of the time. It looks great on you. One size larger and the sleeves will be too long

Thank you. Knowing the kind of person I am, I just know that every time I wear it I'll always be questioning the fit. I'd rather sell it to somebody who will enjoy it fully.

Thank you! Yeah its gonna be a tad too tight for me as Im same height, but 165 lbs with chest 37/38.
Those japanses styles are so slim and too short for my taste. GLWS!
Sounds like it'll likely be a solid fit for you? You are 2.5/3" less chest and 15lbs lighter

You’re a size XL/42 in JP sizing, typically. Maybe 1 more size up actually.

I’m at 5’9, 38” chest, 155 lbs and I’m a size L/40 in JP sizing.

I think it's brand dependent but generally yes. Rainbow Country Hercules sz 40 is actually a good fit on me.

possibly but the back length at 24 inches is definitely a no go. my incoming aero j106 has a back length of 25.25 and my 689HH is 24.5 so 24 is much too short for my taste.

I actually prefer a short length for cross zip jackets. More accurate to the style historically

Just curious - how long have you had the jacket? In terms of, how aggressive is that teacore fade?

I have been looking at them (unfortunately for you, I will need a 44 for a 42 standard).

In a few years will it look like I owned it for a few decades? I love the shine and would like to see it not completely get obliterated.

Can someone educate me on the warmer back pockets of the Innovator? I see it in the current offering but not on this jacket. Is it because it is an older model or is there an option to delete the pockets if you order one?
