I have a Scala that I bought about a year ago. It's an okay hat...not high end, but high enough in quality to withstand the snow and keep my head warm in the winter. The felt is okay; definitely better than wool.
One note though, mine is definitely on the small side. I think that it shrank before I got it. It is very tight for a 7 14, so I tried on the next size up and there was a very large size gap. A little time on the stretcher remedied by small hat problem.
Dorfman sells men's hats under a couple of different names; Dorfman Pacific, Scala, and Classico are the big ones.
Wow, I'm out of the loop with some of the acronyms out there. I had to look up "BNWT". I bought my Scala BNWT (sorry, had to use the new addition to my vocabulary). I really like the hat, but agree that it could be of higher quality felt. However, if I were to order a custom hat, it would likely bear a strong resemblance to my Scala.
