Does the search function really work?

This question comes up every 5 minutes. Ive never had a problem finding anything here. Browser, or type of CPU is irrelevant.

I search using the advance search option then sort by post or thread title as to how I want to find anything.

I cannot post at all to the classifieds and do think this bears on why I am not able to do a search. I am shown as a vendor and have no issue with it but if I cannot search I cannot. [huh]

It has come up before, so I merged all of the threads I could find using the search function... irony?
