Does somebody know from which decade this shirt/jumper is?

I bought it about two years ago in a vintage store in NYC. The Store Owner told me that it's 1950s but I'm not really sure about that.
The fabric is probably a mix of cotton and polyester. The label says "Damon made in Italy".

I'd say 60's or 70's doing a 50's-inspired pullover.
