Never again!
Today it was rather warm as I walked to and from town so I had my usual hat (seen in my avatar) tipped back, which I would not usually do. It wasn't even windy today, but at one point of my journey on a very narrow piece of pavement on a bridge a slight breeze blew the hat off my head before I could stop it (strange as it wasn't a strong breeze and the hat wasn't tipped back very far). It so happened that I was lucky that my hat did not pick the road (on my left) or the 5m drop to the river (to my right) but the pavement behind me.
Considering how lucky I was this time that my hat did not pick the two options of almost certain death, I have decided that tipping it back is simply too dangerous.
