It looks like I will have to buy new hot rollers to get more small rollers. I found a couple sets on Amazon that look interesting. Has anyone tried Remington heated rag rollers?

Yep...there are tons of threads that mention both of these...

and the show us your hair mentions them a bunch of times as well.

I personally have the hotsticks and they work, you just -still- might not find that there are enough of them if you have thick long hair like i do.

I have the Hotsticks, but always end up burning my fingers, they do curl really well and the curl lasts in my hair ( it doesnt with normal heated curlers ), but because of the burnt finger issue i have ordered the remington heated rag rollers that someone on here suggested. www.ulta.com

Hi Kamikat, I have the remington rag rollers. I like them alot. My only faults I can pick with them are that they take a long time to heat up and there are not enough of them in the pack. They are very comfy though and give a lovely curl if left in for an hour. Not a quick set for the mornings:)

I love Hot Sticks. It's all I ever use. They don't give you too many though so I might invest in another set so I don't have to use both sizes to get my whole head done. I think they are fantastic if your hair takes to heat well.

My only qualm with them is that my hair tends to get stuck to the rubber and break. Maybe that's just me though! My hair's pretty damaged.

PT-
I contacted the company (I use the Conair ones) and ordered more of the larger size rods so that my whole set is now one size. (I prefer the curl of the larger stick.) They weren't that much and if I want, I can always stick the smaller ones back in. (3 hots sticks for $2.50 and since I had 7 slots to fill, I had to order 3 packs) Sometimes if I know I'm going to use a lot of rods, I'll stick my 2 extra rods in after I remove 2 and by the time I finish using the rest of the rods in the set in my hair, the 2 extra ones are hot. I've discovered that since my hair takes a curl easy, I don't have to leave them in that long. I just take the rods out after a couple of minutes and place them back in the unit--they re-heat pretty quickly. The hot sticks are the only hair appliance that doesn't fry my hair and I think they work quicker than a curling iron.

I've read reviews of the hot sticks on other websites and a lot of people suggest getting 2 sets because they need more sticks. Sometimes you can find them rather cheaply at thrift stores or even garage sales. My hair isn't very thick so I only need/use 1 set. I did see somewhere that some of the hot stick brands make a larger set with more rods.
