I ran across this and had to order me one in memory of my grandfather.
It is a sturdy straw for yard work and such [it will really take alot of abuse] and looks pretty good also. I guess this type work hat is the reason I grew to love the thin ribbon on a fedora, I was so used to seeing my grandfather use this type hat for a work hat in the summer.
It has been awhile since I had seen this type harvest hat, the local 'Mart' used to carry them but now carry the type straw that has the really wide style brim. I am not too crazy about that kind of brim.
