Does anybody here add personal touches for their leather jackets?

I think some jackets with some male snaps on the chest to snap the lapel/ collar on, when not in use then have some concho coins mounted with female snap for decoration is nice too i imagine

I know the leather used for the jacket is lame office chair leather, at the time i didnt know how get a decent blue leather for it .... the patch pockets have rather cool hide tho.

I like that. I’ve got similar coins/medallions (St Michael, St Christopher, etc.) but wear them around my neck. All mean something to me. I also have lots of silver rings. My favorite is the silver Spartan ring by LionArmory. I have a bunch of his beads I wear around my neck or wrist. Here is what I had on today. The rest are in my safe.

I am collecting antique motorcycle jackets and I use them on my bikes. I customize most of them with pins, patches or paint. Depending on the decade of the jacket. For me it's a personal upgrade on that jacket togehter with other period correct outfit. Here is my 1957 Indian Ranger with some studs and jewels also a custom belt, just as they did back then. The buckle is original on that jacket.

I like adding personal touches to all my jackets, especially adding a pin or two to my wool and denim.
Leather I'll add a zipper pull of some kind, but pins are a different story.

Normally I wouldn't, but from the day I got the jacket I've been thinking this pin would be perfect for it. I was hesitant, but finally bit the bullet and I'm glad I did.

My dad gave this pin to me as a kid and I just kept it in a drawer for a long time.
I eventually put it on my boonie hat where it's been the past couple years, but it's a weighty pin and always sagged so I was just leaving it there till I had a more appropriate place for it.
I once went on a night out with my mates over in LA with a gun like that, swiftly returned to my house within 10 mins to remove it...! Backlash!

That's a decent idea of your using a single prong pin, otherwise you'll need two and not every pin would line up.

Btw I use these " locking " pin keepers, they're basically just a metal plug with a pin hole and a set screw in the side.
I order them from a seller on Ebay called Cactus mountain design, but I'm sure they're available from other sources.

I like them because I don't have to worry about loosing a keeper and getting poked.
I also like them for keeping single prong pins oriented how I want, even with the little tooth on the back they usually don't because that tooth is never really pulled tightly into the material.
With these I can push the keeper on really tight to draw the tooth in, I just have to clip the tip off the prong so it's not sticking out and poking me.

Yes, those are great - I've used them with badges I really don't want to lose from a couple of berets. For the ones I use on suits and blazers, which I want to move around on occasion (club pins and the like), I always replace the little metal ones that come with the badges (the butterfly sort) with the rubber ones the Hard Rock Cafe use - https://shop.hardrock.com/PIN-DISPLAY-CASES/ACCESSORIES/Pin-Backs/0008934705350.html I've not yet lost a pin from these, and they hold far better than the butterfly metal type.

Wings and a small BMW pin on my BMG and Dainese motorcycle jackets.

I don’t want to make holes in either of my Schott jackets, the leather is just too nice!

A pin, or an actual single action revolver ?
I could imagine either being a problem in LA ( a place I'll never go ) , I hate going to the city and am happy to live in a small rural-ish town in northern California that is surrounded by farms and orchards.
I usually have to go into the city for any major grocery shopping, but beyond the limited grocery shopping it's a much better place to be.

those MC jackets are mostly with epaulette, but how come when accessorizing most left them blank, I imagine small pins or some stencil with paint, or national flag painted on the epaulette might look cool especially when faded or discolored from UV and wear abrasion. this get me thinking of buying duck canvass and have a crosszip made from it, and then decorate it with iron on transfer decals, and then wax it, I think it will fade and patina nicely, slight yellow wax over the decals might give it antique look too it.

It used to be more common. In older photos, you'd see extra stars or domes added on epaulettes.
