Recently I saw a great documentary about dancing in Britain in the years 1919-1945.
It was on BBC4 and I decided to make a little video about some of the interesting bits.
I have the entire documentary digitally on my computer, but I think its to big to send to other people trough the internet.

Here you can see the short movie I made about this documentary;

Enjoy and discuss!
Some of the WW2 dances are very interesting!

Thanks, Miss J.

That really brought back memories of watching Mum and Dad dancing when I was a kid. As my Dad helped organise the dances I was allowed to go along sometimes and watch from a balcony - very like the camera angle in some of the 1940s clips. The strange thing is, I remember it in black and white. My kids were convinced that there was no colours before the 1950s. Maybe they were right!

I can still jitterbug - it's just the best dance there is IMO if you have an athletic couple who know what they are doing.
