Dobbs Admiralty 7 1/8? (7 3/8 tag)

For sale is one Dobbs Admiralty stingy brim fedora in excellent condition.

Asking $45 shipped to the lower 48.

Size:
The tag on this hat says 7 3/8, however this hat is definitely not that big, as it's tight on my head. Either it shrunk down or was mislabeled. I measured several times, very carefully (I use sticky tack to hold the tape in place), and always got 22", which is about a 7 1/8. I was a bit surprised by that, since the hat does squeeze on my head, which made me think it was more like a 7 1/4. It's likely that it will stretch to at least 7 1/4, and if it doesn't sell as is, I may try to do that and repost it.

Color:
I adjusted the white balance on my camera, and took great care to get an accurate picture, but when I posted the picture the color was different than it is in iphoto. [huh] In person, the hat is a beautiful medium brown with a good dose of red tones, but the picture here is a bit more gray/green. The ribbon is a contrasting dark brown.

Felt:
The felt feels quite nice to me. A bit on the thick side, but easily shaped without moisture. Here it is in a diamond crease.

Vintage:
Based on the black sweatband and the narrow brim, I'm guessing this hat does not pre-date The Beatles, but I'll let the experts weigh in (Brad?).

Shipping:
This hat fits easily into a Priority Mail box, and since I have a lot of those around due to my hat addiction, I'd like to use one to send it out. I've never had a problem shipping hats in this manner, but if you prefer I can make other arrangements.

That's a diamond crease, or at least my attempt at one.
