I found this hat a couple of months ago. Can anyone tell me anything about it, what it´s worth, the year it was made, etc.?

Just from what I can see, it's '40s or '50s. Do you have a shot of the Dobbs logo on the sweatband? Is there a Dobbs crest sticker in the top of the crown, or is it just missing the liner?

Based on my experience, I feel like that hat is worth ~$100 on eBay. Hopefully, you enjoy wearing it though. It is a wonderful color and looks like the felt is in fantastic condition. Unfortuatnely, the lack of a liner means someone would have to add that later (which could be difficult) and the sweatband needs work. However, a Dobbs 20 in a large size such a 7 1/2 from the 40-50s, which you ahve there is desirable.

Thank you for the input. I think I will enjoy wearing it. A new Dobbs is about $150. This price is out of my range so I'm happy to enjoy my Dobbs 20 at a lot less cost.

Glad to hear you'll be enjoying that fine hat.
Hats don't need liners, especially if you don't put a
lot of product on your hair. There are people who take
the liners out of their hats, mostly because it makes the
hat too warm.

Your vintage 20 is far superior to any Dobbs product you
can find today.
