I know where you're gonig. I've turne a similar offer down before now, with no regrets. Different strokes for different folks and all that, but I find I don't relate to folks much under 30 in the same way I can my contemporaries. [huh]

I'm right there with ya, buddy. There's a definite flirty attraction, but I can't understand half of what she's talking about. :eusa_doh: Goes right back to my ex calling me old-fashioned and boring again.

Why thank you. The photographer told me to look tough and fierce and that's the best I could do.

Y'know, Ms. $., one of the first things I taught my personal-defense students was to develop a "war face" once it was on; your av looks like a very effective one of those. I know I wouldn't wanna be "downrange" of you if "it's on"...
I am woman, hear me roar *meow*

lol It's the "you are WAY past curfew" face!

That and the "what have you done to this clean room" face! :rage:

:D

Anyway, not sure I have a crush on anyone, but I'm groovin' on a few Loungers of the male persuasion that post in the What Are You Wearing thread.

For any father (or uncle ) of a girl or girls, his ability to appreciate any other women than his wife and daughters (or nieces) becomes rather thin rather quickly.

One of the sweetest things I have ever read. Thanks Carebear. Doran, your baby does look so cute. Enjoy her as they grow up quick. Believe me, too quick.

the worst part

is when for a long time you thought she felt kinda the same and then finally realize that she doesn't feel the same way and that she doesn't even realize how you feel...

makes ya just wanna curl up into a ball ... :(

You ain't kidding, brother. Try coming to that realization after 11 years. There's not enough ice cream on the planet to deal with that kind of depression.

Here's hoping you never have to go through that sort of sorrow again. :cheers1:

The hostess at the restaurant of the casino I work in. Went in yesterday to discuss a situation with my boss. While waiting, "A" started giving me a backrub and telling me I looked hot. [huh] Either she is horribly blind or completely delusional. No matter ... I liked the attention. Unfortunately she is also 18 years younger than me.

When I was 37, I had a girlriend who was 21. If she'd been able to control her temper a bit better, we probably would have been married by now.

The hell with being pc. Tell her; "oh mon cheri, run off with me to the Casbah and we will make beautiful music together".....lol

Or just boldly approach her and say, "Oh, why can't we break away from all this, just you and I, and lodge with my fleas in the hills? I mean, flee to my lodge in the hills."

You reminded me of a man I knew, Jeff, who had a major crush on his own wife. One afternoon, a few of our coworkers approached and asked us if we wanted to join them at the bar, "So you don't have to go home to the wife."

Jeff answered, "I married my wife because I want to be with her."

That's cool. I've always hated Bachelor Parties for the same reason. Going out for drinks with your buddies and whatnot is fine, but when it's this big nasty "My last time I can cut loose or look at another woman ever again" business is so depressing (not to mention sleazy). If it's that much of a death sentence, why bother getting married at all - it's like a condemed man going to the gallows....

It is really difference between boys and men, the grown-up and the immature. I have had the pleasure of hosting 2 bachelor parties that came with the request no BS with strippers and the like.

Some 15 years ago we put together a trek to Las Vegas go Friday back Sunday. Most stayed at the Rio. We had a great dinner for about 12 guys at their Fiore Restaurant which at the time was themed rustic Italian with game meats and wood fired roasting. Superb dinners around, and we cleared out the wine cellar of Ridge Litton Springs Zindfandel. Finished with coffee, port and cigars on their veranda.

It was a great dinner that many still talk about and a fine evening of fun in Vegas with out that focus on SEX, last time crap. BTW Fiore is styled as a Steak House now and it is fine dining still.

THe second was we did not have the $ to do such a outing but did a 5 course dinner at the grooms home for about 10 and that went great.

The evenings went very well and vulgarity was not part of the festivities. For some it would have been impossible to consider that a good time perhaps, but we did.

When my best friend, Russ, got married, his bachelor party consisted of Russ, his brother, me and a few other friends at Dave and Busters. That was what Russ wanted, and we all had a good time. :)
