Do you go Commando?

Uhm...well. I seldome wear underwear unless I HAVE to. Corset wearing and panties don't mix well. That and I have a huge keister that I'm deathly afraid of panty lines, I'd rather go without then have big girl lines.

If I wear a skirt, I usually have a slip on that acts like split drawers. Dunno, the lines terrify me to no end.

And rightly so!

Oh! I just realized that I am a big liar when I say there are no rules for fashion, only guidelines. It may be the only rule there is, but "No pantylines" is a *rule*.

BV - maybe it's more of a commandment.

The only time I go without is when I'm reenacting, and then I wear split drawers. And it took me over 6 years to get to that point! But now I love my split drawers. They're not only comfortable, but it's so much easier to use the facilities. No more lifting up skirt, hoop, and petticoats, and then wiggling down underpants from under the corset! Someday I'll likely try going truly commando, without drawers. But I need to make some longer chemises first. ;)

I need to make me a pair of those... I still have them on my "to-do" list :D

Sorry Dancing Sweetie, but I did ballet for 20 years and I always wore knickers under my tights. I hate how it feels without!
No way!!
I danced for 10 years..when I was 7-17. I remember being a child and seeing all the other little girls with their undies completely showing. It always mortified me. Later in life some of the girls in my classes mentione wearing thongs under their tights and leos. Aggh even worse!! I hate thongs regardless, but having to dance in them for 2+ hours??
I've never worn undies under my ballet garb. Ever. I don't think I would have ever been able to stand it. :eusa_doh:

Short answer: No.

Longer answer: I once tried going commando in pantyhose but hated it. Even under a slim fitting dress (though I don't wear many of those) there is always way to wear underwear.

I always have my underwear on beneath the shorts, but someone informed me that you don't need to do that. Is this true? It still seems as though you're going commando beneath your foundation garments.

Agreed!

Absolutely do them! I spent Hallowe'en evening re-drafting my pattern. Since I've lost 15 pounds, they fit very differently. :eusa_clap They're extremely comfortable in hanky-weight linen.

I just used to wear high cut knickers. I wear g-strings (thongs) now but I didn't back then. I think everyone would have been shocked in the changing room if you stripped off and had *NO KNICKERS*!
Saying that, I never cared about flashing the underwear. Everything was covered that was necessary.Hey, it's just like being at the beach. :)

I've gone commando myself a few times, but usually with a pair of really tight jeans. Otherwise, I prefer to wear thongs or g-strings when I can, simply for the sanitary feel. I dont like to think that I'm sitting on a really delicate fabric with no protection in between. You never know what can happen. And I'm sure none of us would ever want to pull a paris hilton, lindsay lohan, or brittany spears move either! It all depends on the mood or line of risk one is will to walk. When it comes to washing my undergarments, I always handwash, simply because the washer can be too rough on the delicates, and the heat of the dryer destroys the elastics in the underwear and make them come apart. I handwash with a nice smelling shampoo and hang them to dry.

I go commando quiet regularly. I have no excuse for it really, i just think either really big pants that hold you in or no pants at all

Being a commando would be really uncomfortable IMO! Going commando is ideal if wearing a tight fitting girdle under wiggle skirts and dresses. As far as I am concerned, nobody is going to see or need know, so what's the problem? ;)

Honestly I do it all the time. I will wear panties (love that word) under skirts and dresses but under jeans and such nothing. I feel quit comfy. Back in my college days less laundry the better.

I...just would not feel right going commando, I'm afraid. When it comes to preventing VPL I generally go for lace boy-short style (big) pants rather than g-strings (usually more comfortable).

When wearing tights I don't wear panties. There's a little cotton patch on most tights (and pantyhose for that matter, but I don't wear them anymore) that is there specifically to take the place of panties.

When wearing an open bottom girdle I do wear underwear, usually a thong. I almost exclusively wear thongs actually, I can't even feel them when they're on!

I could never wear jeans without panties:eek: The very idea makes me squirm!
