... huh? I think you confused me for him. :D

By the way, the "scum" you refer to are probably very nice people if you meet them. Don't judge a book by its cover.

No confusion at all.

We were having a polite conversation about drug dealers that shoot each other, on a daily basis.

If the same were true in my day... I'd a been dead a long time ago. ;)

And, it's brought up another thing to consider...

Why are thugs considered celebrity?

I assumed you were referring to rappers, considering that's what I was talking about.

You are so right. They are certainly celebrity. No more so than gangsters from the so called Golden Age. They've made the stingy brim popular again.

Honestly my only beef w/ the new ganster look is the fact that they chose the 60's look.

Piss me off. :D

Celebrities have never really influenced me much. As I wrote in another thread, I remember the hats men were wearing in the early and mid 60's. My Grandfather had a carpentry shop and I saw a lot of thin ribbon hats on the folks coming in and out. They were men dressed in kahki pants long sleeved shirts with the sleeves rolled up and a lot of thin ribbon Fedoras. They all drove old pick ups loaded with lumber and were headed out to the job site.

When I hear "Vintage" that is what comes to my mind.:)

Jovan I didn't say anything about rappers.. :) ;) But you would be surprised.....

It would be nice if people would take style from Depp's choice of headgear though!

I do wonder though, If Indiana Jones had such a huge impact back before the days of internet and such then what impact might the movie have now? Plus with a not to far follow up of public enemies to show Johnny Depp with a hat.....could be a lot of decent hat wearers in the making.

I am totally horrified by the way this thread has gone so far...

but not as horrified as I am as by starlets wearing FOOTLESS TIGHTS as PANTS. Put on some pants, Lindsey!

Of course, scores of high school and college age girls disagree with me... lol

An Attempt

The bottom line...any attempt on.... in my observation to dress better only increases ones feeling of projection to the world... I am respecting myself and in my view respecting you by my attention to how I am presenting myself to/for you.
