Well, Rudy bought it at an antique store in SF & was told that it was cursed. He wore it until he died & it went to Pola Negri, she didn't like the ring because she thought it was unlucky and she gave it to Russ Colombo, who accidently shot himself while cleaning his gun. Russ Colombo was a boyfriend of Carole Lombard, but she never owned the ring herself, but still died young. The ring went to a guy named Joe Casino, who was in a traffic accident & was killed. Joe's brother, Del, took the ring & put it in a safe in his house, but he was robbed & the ring was in the process of being stolen when the cops showed up & shot the robber. Later, a producer wanted the ring for an actor to wear while starring as Valentino, but the actor, Jack Dunn, died 10 days later. The ring was then put in a safe deposit box & the bank started having all kinds of hold-ups and fires. [huh]
