Distressing a leather jacket

Perhaps I'm alone here...but I love a new, crisp and unyielding leather jacket. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate them as they take form to the wearer. But man, when you first put on a super stiff, thick ass jacket that hasn't yet been worn. It's pretty freak'n awsome.

That explains everything lol

Hi,

I have this NOS sears jacket which looks like painted leather that looks rather unnatural, too shiny, almost like plastic. What would you use to remove the coat of paint on the leather ?

I have never done it to a jacket, but I have used acetone on a number of pairs of shoes and boots without noticing any damage to the leather at all. It will dry the leather out, so you will want to 'feed' the leather afterwards, with your choice of product. I like Pecards.
