I have no idea how many books we have in the house. I'm sure it's more than 1,000, but how many more I have no idea. I can't conceive of spending the time to list them all - it would take a day just to dig them out of all the corners, shelves and boxes, and then much longer to list them. I'll pass.
I remember that in the early 60's at my parents home we did a rough book count - it was over 2000.
