Looks good. It is a dinner jacket, colors and patterns have been popular the last twenty years. Yours is a nice dark traditional plaid that works for a more casual formal event. And you wear it well.

Nice jacket. The only troubling aspect I see is this. It is kind of inbetween. In the out in the field photos it looks a little bolder which I like. It reminds me of the fifties jackets which would be blue, green or plaid maybe in a heaavier wool or raw silk or something like that. Very cool, especially with a skinny black bow tie.

But I would want a palid to be kind of bold for that look, whereas in the non worn photos the plaid looks a little subtle which makes you think more of a lounge atmosphere.

Either way, it looks good on you and would not seem out of place in any formal event. It isn't like you are going to look worse than some guy in a rented polyester black one.

While I lean towards the formal and traditional, I think that black tie has become such a dress like a waiter cheap look that wearing an unusual, but still sharp jacket is better than just black.

It seems like it would also be great where you want to dress up, but a full dinner suit might seem too dressy, like clubbing or new years or christmans party.

Feraud, You look marvelous!.....

Love that look- very 50's self confident, but a lot less formal than plain black. Would never have considered it for myself, but you have me re-thinking that stance....
