I'm starting to feel like the bum looking in the diner window watching the paying customers eat steak...

I'm sure the postman will be good to me in time.

Fed IV

I was up at hats direct (katoomba hattery) today, ordered a carbon grey fed IV unfortunatly none in my size, bout a week away, Jenny showed me how to bash them, bit of steam, bit of wrist action and bobs your uncle, cant wait, in the mirror I looked like my grandad, I like that!
NB: for any one into pork pies, have a look on hats direct site, the "rap" is an akubra porkpie made exclusivly for two stores here in Sydney, I have bought two, one that I snap the brim and one left up for when Im playing music.
Their very cool.

Dr Strange covers all the main differences between the hats mentioned in the OP. I would add further that the Stylemaster has a bound edge brim, while the CEO does not have the snap-brim found on the Federation.

I picked one up a few weeks ago. I'm going this weekend to a friend's fifties-themed 21st Birthday Party, and I used that as an excuse to put together a Ted outfit (had to go poly to keep it affordable... I know, I know.....) in a fifties style. Lacking hair to quiff, I needed a hat to go with it, and a pork pie seemed to fit the bill. I'm really pleased with the Akubra Rap - beautifully soft felt, and I really like the snap brim, which is not as stingy as on many pps (a good thing, in my eyes). Eventually I'd be tempted by another in Moonstone. I'm just in two minds at the minute whether to steam in some side-dents or leave it unpinched.

I second that, Ken. It's always fun to see who you're dealing with.
