I ordered a jacket from Aero at the beginning of March before any of the new tariff stuff was implemented and am now nervous what kind of fees I will be charged by customs here in the USA. Previous Aero orders were delivered by DHL so I also wonder which courier service will be used.

The only jacket I ever had shipped to me from another country was my Himel jacket (Canada to USA) and it came straight to my door. I had boots come from Japan and they also arrived with no issues. I will not be ordering anything abroad anymore.

PPFF just became very awesome to skirt tariffs when Euro loungers are selling to Americans and vice versa. Declare low, eat the tariff as cost of transaction.

Will make buying used even more cost effective vs new.

Thurston prices are about to be clown shoes for Thedi and Aero unfortunately. But Thedi prices have gotten ridiculous the last few years anyways.

I think it’s anyone’s guess as to how the recent US tariffs were arrived at, because remote barren islands inhabited only by penguins and seals were also included.
This was done so that the Chinese don't ship to remote islands and re-ship to America to skip the tariffs.

We don't know that with certainty, and the Chinese aren't going to move tens of thousands of container ships to a remote island to then redirect to the US.

Let's just stick to tariffs and the impact to jackets and other lounge items

Remember to hold yourself accountable for who you voted for. If prices are going up and your standard of living down, think deeply before casting your vote.

Totally agree man but this might be the only place on the internet I spend time where I don't have to read anything political interspersed between content discussions
Thankfully, this has been mostly cordial and informative by most in the thread. I think that’s the reason mods have not stepped in.

It is saying something that the policies are impacting this hobby in general. Maybe this is the one place where people can actually talk politics and it not get out of hand haha. It’s too polarizing these days and I think everyone is used to either side just taking jabs at each other instead of being informative and bringing up the facts.
