Deloreans back, only room for 2 hats

Got a nice box in the mail today with 2 boxes inside of it. The story behind these is the seller's family lived next door to an old couple who had no relatives. The old gentleman worked at Stetson. When the couple passed on they left all of their things to the seller's family including 2 Stetson boxes with hats inside.

Now to the boxes....

The first hat is a Stetson Golden Century. I hadn't heard of this hat before but found one old reference on the lounge to it. I guess its a hat that came out in 1965 (100 years after 1865). I don't know if it originally came in a Stetson 100 box or not.... This one is dead mint and a great shade of blue. The pictures do not do the color justice.

I saw there was a Stetson Golden Century on ebay for sale not too long ago. It's a nice looking hat; and yours is in perfect condition!

The Golden Century pops up on ebay from time to time, but the box is probably worth more - and that's not an insult to the hat, but a compliment to the box.

The plastic still on the 100 just kills me.
