Defective leather jacket

Hi, i recently bought an expensive leather jacket on internet, however i noticed that the leather at the center left at the top is looking than the leather of thebrest of the jacket.
Is this a defect of the jacket?

Yep, it's broken. Better go back and exchange it for a textile jacket.

can't see what you're referring to, but leather is not a uniform product. The jacket does not look defective, embrace the differences

Not defective in the least. Leather, at least.

If your referring to the lapel....it has more grain than the other lapel. Perfectly normal.If your not referring to the lapels ....I dont see anything.

I have a Vanson highwayman with the same… feature. The lapel is the inside of the jacket, subject to much less stress or wear and tear. I think using a less firm portion of a hide in this are makes perfect sense, and would absolutely be seen in vintage coats.
