I found a different photo of what appears to be the same vehicle with the caption, "Coca-Cola being delivered to your doorstep (Illinois, ca 1937)."
The buildings in the backgrounds of both photos appear to be privately owned by someone who could afford (or needed?) such large residences, so maybe this was a service offered to Coke's wealthier customers?
That's an interesting photo. I wish it showed a bit more to the side because I'm at least 50% sure I recognize that house. It is possible since there was a large Coke bottling plant in town with a very wealthy owner that the vehicle could have been here at least on one occasion.I'm assuming custom, I doubt Corporate Coke created this thing:
