@Turnip: I referenced Kruger's acting ability and innate talent. He frankly reminded me of a German
gentleman I met while in Munich, a veteran of the Second World War as a soldier in Yugoslavia,
whom eluded Soviet capture for French Foreign Legion enlistment and Indochina service.
We both had Vietnam in common; and, as soldiers do, shared past experiences.

Kruger used a crossbow in The Wild Geese, a cutdown weapon often used for silent sentry take.
His character's London pub scene introduction was memorable. Always liked Kruger, man had credibility.

Peter Robbins, voice and tv actor best known for being the original voice of Charlie Brown in the Christmas and Hallowe'en specials, has died by suicide, only 65 years old.

He recently had troubles with the law, involving threats and violence and spent over four years in prison. He had addition and mental health issues much of his adult life.

Actor Howard Hesseman, arguably best known as disc jockey Dr. Johnny Fever on the TV series WKRP in Cincinnati, has died at the age of 81 according to his manager Robbie Kass. Hesseman died yesterday afternoon from complications related to colon surgery.

Canadian director Ivan Reitman has died, aged only 75.

Animal House, Meatballs, Ghostbusters, Twins and so many more.

His son Jason directed the recent GB sequel, Afterlife, and Ivan was preparing to make a sequel to Twins.

I became a P.J. O’Rourke fan while reading his book “Holidays in Hell” around 1990. It was a very funny travelogue about all the war zones he had visited as a foreign corresponden. R.I.P., Mr O’Rourke.

I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. O'Rourke speak at a local Town Hall event many years ago; the tickets were a gift from my mother, who knew I was a fan. This was after subscribing to National Lampoon through much of the 70s and reading some of his books. RIP.
